Dua for Sehri

Wabisaumi Ghadin Nawaytu Min Shahri Ramadhan
I intend to keep fast today for the month of Ramadan

Dua for Iftaar

Allahumma Inni Laka Sumtu Wa Bika Aamantu
O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You
Wa Alayka Tawakkaltu Wa Alaa Rizqika aftartu
and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance

Allah Almighty's Beloved Messenger said, "When the month of Ramadhan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of hell are closed and the devils are chained." (Bukhari)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah Almighty be pleased with him) narrates from our Beloved Prophet that He said, "One who keeps the fast of Ramadhan with Imaan (faith) and longing for reward, all his previous sins are forgiven." (Bukhari, Muslim)

It is in Baihaqi that the Beloved Prophet is reported to have said, "This month of Ramadhan is a month of great excellence, the beginning of which is Mercy, the middle is for forgiveness and the end is for protection from hell." (Baihaqi)

Every action of the childrens of Adam (Peace be upon Him) is given manifold reward, each good deed receiving ten times its like, up to seven hundred times. Allah the Most High said, 'Except for fasting, for it is for Me and I will give recompense for it, he leaves off his desires and his food for Me.' for the fasting person there are two times of joy; a time when he breaks his fast and a time of joy when he meets his Lord. (Bukhari)

"He who does not desist from obscene language and acting obscenely (during the period of fasting), Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala has no need that he did not eat or drink." (Bukhari, Muslim)
